Our love story

Bill and Lori met as young kids. Bill was best friends with Lori’s brother so they were together often. Somewhere around 11 or 12 years old, they decided they liked each other and young love began. That first kiss was something neither of them ever forgot. Middle school brought some changes due to family moves but they stayed in touch all through the years. They spent hours talking on the phone and writing love letters to one another. After high school, they reconnected in person and had a very close friendship. There were a few times things got serious but life always had a curveball. Then life took them miles apart and their calls became birthdays and holidays. But yet, they remained close friends (who shared a strong love bond). Along the way, Lori got married and then Bill got married. Life went on. Fast forward 27 years and Bill found himself alone due to losing his wife tragically. Lori found herself as a mom of 5 girls facing divorce. As it usually happened, Bill called Lori out of the blue just needing a friend to talk to. They discovered they were both alone and facing a lot of life. Bill suggested Lori come to visit him at his home in South Carolina. So Lori made the trip from Texas to see “the love of her life”. The magical sparks they always knew were still there for both of them. After a few months of talking and visiting and meeting kids, Bill proposed to Lori. He said “I’ve waited 47 years to ask you this question” and of course her answer was YES. Even though they lost several years of being together, they are both thankful to have reconnected and that life came full circle and all is as it should be now.
