✨ Mountain Air Reminder ✨
We’re getting married high up in the mountains at Keystone (hello, altitude!). Those coming from lower elevations might benefit from a little extra time to adjust to the thinner air. Keystone itself is at 9,280 ft, the ceremony & reception at Timber Ridge Lodge is a 11,640ft.
Mild altitude effects typically are things like headache, feeling more tired than usual, shortness of breath, or a slightly “off” feeling the first day or two. Totally common—and usually short-lived.
To acclimatize & feel your best
• Arrive a day early if you can (your future dancing self will thank you)
• Hydrate more than you think you need
• Go easy on alcohol the first day
If you are coming from low elevation and have had altitude sickness before, it may be worth chatting with your doctor about other preventive measures/medications.
