I went to stay the weekend with my best friend who was currently living on Davenport's Grand Rapids campus. It was a Thursday night and she had nothing for us to do and asked me if i wanted to go to a "nerd meeting". Of course I said yes and we walked over to the Business Building and into a conference room full of guys playing Dungeons and Dragons. Nathan caught my eye and at the end of the night we exchanged numbers and got to know each other as friends. There has never been a day we haven't talked since then!

After two dates, Nathan wanted to meet my parents. Unfortunately my mom and brother were up north but my dad was home. Nathan came over and as soon as I left the two of them alone my dad started grilling Nathan (and we weren't even officially dating yet!). Thankfully my dad did not scare him off because as I walked Nathan out to his car that night, he asked me to be his lady!

Nathan and I decided we wanted to recreate our first date for our two year anniversary. We went out to dinner at Steak 'n' Shake. Afterwards we went for a walk in the park and then to the airport where we could sit and watch the planes takeoff and land. As we were watching the sunset, Nathan got down on one knee and asked me to be his lady forever!
