OMG, WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

Haley and Michael met on Hinge in the spring of 2024—proof that sometimes the dating apps really do work. Michael’s friends had convinced him to create a profile, while Haley had been on and off the apps since her college days. As Haley’s softball season ramped up, she was planning to delete Hinge to focus on her second year as the JV head coach at LC. But before she did, she sent Michael one last message, gave him her number, and left the next move up to him if he was truly interested. He was. Michael texted her throughout his trip to Vegas, and the two quickly bonded over their shared love of Disney and sports—especially baseball and softball, of course—while also trading good-natured jabs about college football. Michael is a die-hard Notre Dame fan, while Haley has been loyal to Alabama since birth. Their mutual love of sports sparked an instant connection that was only the beginning. As they got to know each other, they realized how many times their paths had almost crossed. They had just missed each other while coaching at All Aspects Academy in South Chicago Heights. A few years later, they were coaching high school softball and baseball at schools only ten minutes apart. Haley had even coached the daughter of the coach who would later hire Michael as a travel ball coach. It seemed their lives had been running parallel for years—just never intersecting… until Hinge. They went on their first date just a few days before Michael’s 25th birthday, and by that weekend they had already made it official. Six months later, Michael moved in with Haley in Lowell, and their connection only grew stronger. Michael originally planned to propose in September at the Notre Dame vs. Texas A&M game, with Haley’s two closest friends there to help surprise her. But, in true family fashion, the secret didn’t stay a secret for long. So he pivoted—beautifully. On July 4th, 2025, at Haley’s uncle’s house—and on Haley’s birthday—Michael asked her to marry him. It was the best birthday gift she could have ever imagined. We are so glad you are here and can spend our special day with us. We truly value everyone invited to our intimate gathering.
