Groom's story: I still remember the day I first saw Bidula in 7th grade, she was wearing her favorite denim skirt with a brown top. For years through middle school and high school my crush remained silent. Being a shy kid, I did nothing to act on my crush, figured it would go away over time, boy was I wrong. Fortunately for me we had a lot of common classes and after school activities through high school. This gave me courage to at least say hi to her. Our relationship first started off with friendship then it got weird. Now a days its a big deal if a guy gets "friend zoned" but has anyone ever been "bro zoned"? Thanks to the Indian tradition of Rakhsa Bhandan (google it!), I got to experience the "bro zone." Now I had lost all hope. We stayed friends, or brother and sister, for a few years. Our friendship kept growing and growing until the day Bidula pulled me out of the bro zone and confessed her feelings for me and now we are here. Guess you can say "Started from the bottom now we're here" Bride's story: I’ve known Kunal since I was 13 years old. It wasn’t until we were in high school that we became friends thanks to after school activities and summer tennis. Plus, we had the same group of friends that we still hang out with till this day. I remember Kunal would message me on AIM after school and we would talk all the time. As years went by, we started to talk more and more often, we got closer and he soon became my best friend. We spent summers hanging with our high school crew, going to movies and playing tennis. I had at one-point friend zoned him but the more I got to know him, the more I started to like him. Because he was so shy, I knew he was never going to express how he felt so one day I took a leap of faith and confessed my feelings for him. Fast forward 10 years and we’re now planning the wedding of our dreams.
