Frequently Asked Questions: You've got questions? We've got answers!
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate in style—this will be a classic black tie affair!
For gentlemen, that means a tuxedo: bow tie, dress shoes, and all the classic touches. For ladies, think red carpet glamour—a floor-length gown, an elegant cocktail dress, or a sleek formal jumpsuit are all perfect choices. In short: formal and fabulous. Come dressed to impress—we can’t wait to see you all looking your best!

Question

Are my kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, but we’ve decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives you a chance to enjoy a night off and celebrate with us in full grown-up style!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with our favorite people! Due to space limitations, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. If a plus-one was included, you’ll see their name on your invite or RSVP form. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to clarify!

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

No group transportation, but getting around is super easy with Uber, Lyft, and Metro. Both Union Station and Old Town Alexandria are very accessible.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

For the Welcome Party and Brunch at The George of Old Town, both street parking and public parking are available nearby. Old Town is very walkable, so feel free to explore a bit as you make your way over! For the Reception and Ceremony, we highly encourage using a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to get to and from Union Station. If you prefer to drive, Union Station offers a 24-hour on-site parking garage. Access is available via ramps on the east side of Union Station from Massachusetts Avenue NE and H Street NE. For more details, visit: https://www.unionstationdc.com/parking/

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you keep phones tucked away during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present (and our photographer can work her magic). Snap away during the reception though - we want all the fun memories!
