Bailey and David’s Story: In Their Words

First Interactions: According to David: We used to pass each other in the hall at work. I remember thinking “she looks like wifey material.” According to Bailey: We used to pass each other in the hall at work. One time, he gave me the “eyes up and down” look, so I thought he was interested and waited for him to make a move. 😊 He chatted me at work and asked to grab a coffee. Coffee never really went anywhere, so then I thought maybe I misread the vibes and he just wanted to be friends. First Date: According to David: After coffee, I asked her to go to Preserve restaurant in Annapolis. We went and I got the vibe that she wasn’t interested. We didn’t chat much after that for a couple of years. According to Bailey: We went to this restaurant in Annapolis as friends. I had no clue he was still interested in me! It wasn’t until a couple years later when I had a surgery and he found out and he asked to bring me food. I declined, but I let him make me dinner after I had recovered and was up for seeing people. He showed up with king scallops, risotto, all the kitchen supplies he needed (because I don’t cook lol), wine, and I was in awe LOL. Then he invited me to a Nats game, which we now define as our official first date. Proposal: According to David: I took her to a nice winery dinner and afterward I got on my knee to propose. She did not say yes. According to Bailey: I told him I always wanted to do a wine pairing dinner. He literally got an email from Stone Tower Winery the next day with an advertisement for a wine dinner and booked it immediately! After dinner, we walked outside and he got on one knee. The world started spinning! He told me later that I didn’t say “yes,” but I let him put the ring on, so I thought it was implied! Wedding Planning: According to David: I said I wanted to elope to Turks and Caicos. She preferred a wedding with friends and family. I said “whatever you want, babe.” According to Bailey: He said “whatever you want, babe” and then he proceeded to have very strong opinions on every detail. :) What They Love About Each Other: According to David: Bailey balances out my contrarian nature with endless positivity. She loves her family and prioritizes the right things in life. According to Bailey: Dave’s kindness, thoughtfulness, work ethic, humor and our shared values/upbringings.
