Our relationship started with two right swipes on Tinder. (Thanks Ben Damberg for being Ron's matchmaker). Small talk and Snapchats turned into our first date. I met Ron in Superior at the house he was renting with his friends and we rode together in his Oldsmobile. I was trusting until I caught a glimpse of the Duct tape in the door. Thankfully it was just for patching his old car. That night we saw Beauty and the Beast followed by late night coffee drinks at Caribou Coffee in Canal Park. We talked until we had to leave as they were closing up for the night. Our date ended with our first kiss and the rest is history!

We never would have guessed our planned trip to the Las Vegas area and The Grand Canyon in February would have been impacted by snow. After landing in Las Vegas and picking up our rental car we found out the interstate into Arizona was closed due to a blizzard. Ron had to do some quick thinking of a proposal spot and landed on Death Valley. We spent the night in Pahrump, Nevada after a long day of travel before heading out to Death Valley the next morning. We chose to see a few of the typical tourist spots and a hike into Darwin Falls, a water fall located within Death Valley National Park. I had a few complaints on the way in about my new white shoes getting dirty, but continued on. Once we reached the waterfall we enjoyed it without other hikers in the area. My first awareness something was happening was when Ron set up his phone to take pictures. However, just before he was about to propose a larger group of hikers arrived and we had to wait for them to leave prior to taking more pictures. Ron ended up handing his phone to a couple along with a note that said, "Keep taking pictures. I'm going to propose!" I said yes before Ron had a chance to finish his sentence!
