CAN I BRING A PLUS ONE? / A Quien puedo traer?

Answer

If you would like to bring friends or family on the trip, you are more than welcome! However, only the people who's names are listed on the invitation will be invited to the ceremony/reception on the wedding day. If you have a plus one, it will be listed on your invitation. Si deseas traer amigos o familiares al viaje, ¡eres más que bienvenido! Sin embargo, sólo las personas cuyos nombres figuran en la invitación serán invitadas a la ceremonia/recepción el día de la boda. Si tiene un acompañante, aparecerá en su invitación.

How current does my passport need to be?

Answer

You do need an active passport to travel to DR, Check your passport expiration date and if your passport is set to expire 6 moths before your return date, you will need to renew your passport. Visit the U.S. State Department website for more information on how to get a passport or renew. Tip: It is suggested to allow for 10-13 weeks (or 3 months) for processing. So if you need to apply for a passport or need to renew your passport, we recommend you do so by may 1, 2025

What is the dress code?

Answer

Welcome Party: Casual all White attire Wedding Day for ideas : https://www.pinterest.com/Biancaellis01/formal-beach-attire/ Formal beach attire - we kindly ask that men wear pants, closed toe shoes and button-down shirts (jackets/blazers encouraged). No shorts or sandals please! Women are encouraged to wear a maxi dress or mid-length dress. We kindly request that guests avoid wearing white, ivory, or cream to allow the bride to stand out on her special day.

Is the food safe?

Answer

Yes! The food is safe to consume, however, we do encourage you to use your best judgment and consume warm/hot foods. Please opt out of consuming anything that looks like it may have been sitting out for a while or raw seafood. Lopesan offers buffets and various restaurants with delicious food! Some restaurants are walk-ins, others require a reservation via the Lopesan App.

Can you drink the tap water in DR?

Answer

Tourists are strongly recommended NOT to drink the tap water. If you drink the tap water you will likely get a tummy ache! Purified bottled water is available everywhere in the resort. Hotels and restaurants use purified water to clean and cook their food. The resort has a pharmacy or medical assistance if needed.

Can I stay at another hotel?

Answer

We would love for our guests to stay with us at Lopesan, but you can stay at an alternate hotel of your choose. Please note you will be required to pay a $85 day pass to enter Lopesan for each day that you access the hotel including the day of the wedding and the day of the welcome reception.

What does the all-inclusive hotel entail?

Answer

Bring Dollar Bills to tip your Servers and Bartenders but Just as it sounds Lopesan is an all-inclusive hotel so all food and drinks are covered with your booking. The resort has a variety of restaurants, some are open 24 hours and others are open as early/late as 6am-2am. The resort also has a pharmacy, general store and coffee shop. Upon arrival at Lopesan, everything you need should be available to you at the resort!
