Liberty Station
Host to our reception, the former Naval Training Center is home to a public market, coffee shops and restaurants, a movie theatre, and waterfront parks. Our fave spots include Stone Brewing, Con Pane Bakery, and El Jardin Tequila Bar.
Fisherman's Landing
We will provide food for the weekend festivities but in case you want to catch your own, February in SD is rock cod, rockfish, shark, and yellowtail season.
Pacific Beach
Serving the sandcastlers, a laid-back beach vibe with dive bars, taco shops, and a 3-mile boardwalk. La Playa Taco Shop or World Famous Restaurant for your fish tacos. Parking is a challenge but it is a quick Uber/bike/iRide from Point Loma.
Balboa Park
1200-acre park, Spanish-style square, more than 16 museums, performing arts venues, adjacence to the San Diego Zoo, botanical gardens, running trails, something for everyone.
Old Town
Birthplace of California - eyo! Authentic Mexican culture, bazaars, architecture, fountains, homemade tortillas
Torrey Pines Natural Reserve
A great hiking experience for all levels throughout San Diego's coastal wilderness. 1750-acre reserve throughout the sandstone canyons and cliffs, full of family-friendly paths as well as more advanced trails.
Cabrillo National Park
Named after the first European to set foot on our West Coast, the Monument and Lighthouse overlook the bayside to the east and the ocean to the west. One of its two trails leads you down the cliffs to the tidepools, and Sunset Cliffs Natural Park is a drivable neighbor.
Little Italy
Cafes, pubs, gelato, meat & cheese shops, art galleries, date nights, gelato, hole-in-the-walls, Italian accents, gelato... All surrounding the 10,000-foot Piazza della Famiglia and accessible by foot.
