We met in 2006.. It began as texting, then Bianca went to his place to meet while he installed his CD player in his faded burgundy VP.. We barely dated.. We caught up, watched movies, Bianca went to Inter to watch him play - she had no interest in the sport at all - napping in the car with Belle instead of actually watching! Shh!! Rick went to South to watch Bianca play netball (she was sure it was to perve on the other chicky babes!) A couple of years later, after Bianca went on exchange to Denmark, they caught up again.. Bianca was going through a tumultuous time and retreated to Rick's a couple of times for a place to crash and someone to confide in.. Still nothing really beyond friends.. Rick and Bianca went on to have families of their own.. whenever they ran into each other they'd chat and always had each other on Facebook. Looking back as memories come up on Facebook, we always liked status' and life events.. Forward to 2016 and again they were there to vent, share and confide.. Eventually they caught up.. Rick had rules. As Bianca had just separated from a long term relationship, Rick wanted to be sure it wasn't a rebound. They had to go on 6 dates before he would consider them together.. Our first date to Cape Bridgewater in August 2016 was a day trip.. We grabbed a coffee from Maccas and went for a drive.. It was so cold! Other dates to Belgiornos, Metro, Sorrentos and a disaster date at Port Fairy followed.. September 4th 2016 was when we considered ourselves in a relationship.. It felt right. They were and still are best friends.
