We're getting married!

Rafayel and Bianca’s journey began long before either of them realized it. Growing up in two different corners of New York; Rafayel in East New York, Brooklyn & Bianca in Queens, New York, their lives were shaped by similar values, similar faith, and a love for Jehovah that would one day intertwine their paths in the most beautiful way. Both were raised as Jehovah’s Witnesses, each surrounded by supportive congregations and loving families. When Rafayel’s family moved from the Sheffield Congregation in Brooklyn to the Springfield Gardens Congregation in Queens close to where Bianca grew up in the Sunrise Congregation neither of them realized this was only the beginning of their story. When the congregations were later merged into what is now the Rosedale Congregation, their worlds finally came together. They started simply as friends. The kind of friends who clicked effortlessly, who made each other laugh, and who quickly became inseparable. Their bond only deepened as they grew spiritually side by side, bringing them to a milestone they’ll always treasure; being baptized on the same day, August 1, 2020, in the same place. It was a moment that strengthened not only their relationship with Jehovah, but also the quiet, growing affection they had for each other. As time passed, admiration blossomed into love. Their relationship became a place of encouragement and support as they pursued their goals; Rafayel graduating from the FDNY EMS Academy, and Bianca completing Nursing School. They celebrated each other’s victories, leaned on each other during challenges, and built a partnership grounded in friendship, faith, and unwavering devotion. On July 24, 2025, surrounded by love and anticipation, Rafayel surprised Bianca with a question that would change their lives forever. With joy in her heart, she said “yes,” beginning the beautiful new chapter they now step into together. Rafayel & Bianca are so excited to celebrate their marriage on June 28th, 2026, surrounded by the family and friends who witnessed their journey from friendship, to love, to forever.
