How We Met

Fate or Coincidence

We met at the library in Federal Way. I know, so corny! QueVeon was there, he was supposed to meet with another woman for a date and began to chat with me (Bianca) as I was checking out my books. He and I instantly hit it off, the chemistry was undeniably there! I normally don't give strangers the time of day - but he invited me out to dinner and at that moment I thought.. he seems so nice, why not! We left for the Red Lobster. The rest is history.

The Proposal

Gryffindor VS Ravenclaw

If you don't know - QueVeon and Bianca are hood twins. Born just 1 day apart from one another. August 11 & 12! August 11 2022, we decided we better head down to Orlando before we're officially too old to enjoy Disney and Universal Studios. After a long day of roller coasters and 90 degree weather and of course, Harry Potter World, QueVeon and I were on our way to the front of the park to pick up our purchases from the park when the sky cracked open and it began to rain so hard you couldn't see your own hand in front of you. We had taken the hotel shuttle to the park and we had waited until the last shuttle back so we could make the most of the full day. We made eye contact and knew we had to run for it to make it to the shuttle in the pouring monsoon. As we dashed though the park- no jacket - no umbrella - just soaked t-shirts and tennis shoes, Q suddenly stopped at the escalators right before the park entrance and looked at me. Im in a panic, quickly snapping at him to hurry up before we get left behind (All the people in the park were going to the same place as us!) "Don't be mad!" He dropped my custom wand from Olivanders and my "Worlds Best Girlfriend" trophy I forced him to award me earlier that day, and he dropped to one knee. I thought the man had broken his ankle and could go no further until I saw the ring box. He said my whole, government name before I grabbed his shoulders and said "I look so crazy, and my hair is not done, and I'm soaking wet! And my momma's not here! Don't do it now!!" But he was smiling and nervous and stumbled on his words and mumbled something about how it's not supposed to be raining right now. And I grabbed his arm and tried to lift him up and said "YES! Now let's go!" He quickly shoved the ring back in his pocket and we ran down 3 flights of stairs and literally had to shove ourselves into the last shuttle bus - packed like sardines - and pressed against wet people from the park, grinning like fools at each other. Fast forward to... August 12 2022, I took Q out for his birthday, his favorite restaurant, a 4D movie experience, and finally down to the Ice Bar where you are required to put on a big jacket and gloves since the entire bar is made out of ice. He asked me to take a picture with him and invited the bartender to take our "photo" where he dropped down on one knee and we were officially engaged!
