It was winter 2015, we sat in Washington Square Park, shivering on a city park bench. Endless nights of text messages, Facebook Messenger, phone calls, and summer walks from our church in Crown Heights to East Flatbush finally led us here, the beginning of our future. As luck would have it, our journey began with long distance, Bianca moved to Long Island, and the summer walks in Brooklyn quickly became summer commutes on the LIRR. As our relationship progressed, every interaction was intentional. We planned our dates around classes, exams, and breaks, exploring our city, growing together, and never letting our busy schedules get in the way of our love. This became the precedent for our relationship. As the years unfolded, the distance would stretch across states and time zones as we pursued our goals. Every reunion felt like home, and every goodbye was a see you later. In 2022, Isaac returned home. A year later, he proposed in Harlem, in front of a commissioned painting of Bianca that glowed in the dark with the words “Will you marry me?” What began as two young hearts braving the New York City cold has now blossomed into a lifelong union. Now, as winter comes around once more, we invite you to share in our joy as we say “ I do” and step into the next season of our love.
