Riverfront Park
At the heart of downtown Spokane is the 100-acre Riverfront Park filled with tons of pathways for biking, running, or just a relaxing walk soaking up the views. All just walking distance from the city center, you can easily access Gonzaga University, the upper falls of the Spokane River, the Riverfront Park Carousel, Sky Ride and the Spokane River lower falls too!
Huntington Park
Best location to check out the lower falls of the Spokane River, this quiet little park is at the western end of Riverfront Park and just steps away from Riverfront Square, the Riverfront Park Carousel and the famous clock tower!
Kendall Yards
From Riverfront Park, keep following the Centenial Trail to Kendall Yards for great eats and even better views of the Spokane River and the downtown area! Get pampered at Spa Paradiso, enjoy brick-oven pizza overlooking the river at Veraci's, and top it all of wiith either ice cream from Brain Freeze Creamery or specialty mini donuts from Hello Sugar.
River Park Square
If you need to grab a candy apple before a walk in Riverfront Park, a blockbuster movie, or some new dancing shoes for the reception floor, Riverpark Square is the place to go! Right at the city center and a stone's throw away from the Spokane River, find all the ammenities you'll need right here in downtown Spokane.
Manito Park
Grab some coffee and a pastry from Rockwood Bakery and cross the street over to Manito Park to enjoy plentiful walking trails to view the Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Arboretum and much more! All less than a 5 minute drive from downtown.
Riverside State Park - Bowl and Pitcher Area
Downriver and about a 15 minute drive from the city center is Riverfront State Park. Walk, run or mountain bike the trails that cross a wooden suspension bridge and skirt the Spokane River as it meanders Northwest to calmer waters.
Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture
Keep up-to-date on the history and culture of the Pacific Northwest with rotating exhibits at the PAC. Less than a 5 minute drive from downtown and within the historic Browne's Addition area of Spokane.
Bing Crosby House
Where Holiday Inn and Going my Way all started... the house Bing Crosby grew up in. Right off of Gonzaga University's campus, admission is free and walk-ins are usually welcomed (but might be best to double check if you're interested).
Green Bluff
A scenic 30 minute drive from downtown is Greenbluff, the heart of all things Fall for Spokane! With dozens of family farms offering apple and pumpkin picking, hay rides, corn mazes, music and of course...apple cider donuts! If you're in the mood for "world famous" pumpkin donuts, look no further than Beck's Harvest House. Breweries, wineries, fresh produce and all with great views of Mt. Spokane.
Mount Spokane
A little over an hour's drive from downtown and you'll find yourself at the summit of Mt. Spokane. Great views looking east into Idaho, pack a lunch and enjoy the scenery from the comfort of your car. Tons of hiking trails are available as well, be sure to check in with the current conditions for any weather closures.
Arbor Crest Wine Cellars
A popular winery just outside of downtown, Arbor Crest is built high on towering cliffs offering great views of the surrounding area, great drinks and good eats!
Silverwood Theme Park
If you're looking for some fun, less than an hour drive from downtown Spokane is Silverwood Theme Park. Starting in late September, the park takes on a more frightening turn as it becomes Scarywood...a Halloween themed amusement park with thrills and scares for everyone!
Coeur d'Alene
Right across the stateline is Coeur d'Alene, ID, a beautiful resort town with a charming waterfront full of shops and restaurants. Just a 30 minute drive from downtown Spokane will bring you to this renowned lakeside city. Be sure to stop by Abi's for some great ice cream or Roger's Burgers for a quick bite and a milkshake!
