Josiah and Bianca have very different retellings of this story. Bianca insists that she met Josiah much later into their first year at Bible college. However, Josiah remembers meeting Bianca at new student orientation while playing human bingo because he recognized her Wabanna shirt. We'll take votes at the wedding to see who you think is right!

After months of being friends, Josiah asked Bianca to meet him in the library at their college and there he told her that he had feelings for her. She then responded with, "I don't like you back." Josiah was very gracious. Bianca then went back to her dorm to share the news with her roommate Sidney, to which Sidney replied, "You know that isn't true. You like him." Bianca was not so gracious After praying and coming to her senses, Bianca admitted her feelings for Josiah a few weeks later, and he still felt the same way! Praise God! A few months later, Josiah made the trip to Maryland to ask Bianca's dad for permission to date her. Her dad said yes, and Josiah asked Bianca to be his girlfriend that same day. God was incredibly gracious.

On Bianca's 21st birthday, she was very confused when her boyfriend did not tell her happy birthday. At the assumption that he wanted to sleep in, she brushed it off as she went to her annual birthday breakfast with Alli. Little did she know, Josiah was already in Annapolis, ready to propose to her. After her birthday breakfast was over, Alli suggested they get coffee at Oscars and take some birthday pictures, and Bianca was (obviously) all for it. Little did Bianca know, Alli was taking her to where Josiah was waiting to propose. As they approached the coffee shop, Alli with camera in hand and Bianca with coffee on her mind, they quickly realized the shop was closed. As Bianca approached to read the sign on the door, Josiah came from behind the shop with a question to ask. He asked, and she said yes :)

We are truly so humbled. God is so kind as we do not deserve one another or the opportunity to serve Him in this way. We also do not deserve you all who love us enough to invest in us the way you have. We are so excited to get married and begin this journey of serving God together, and we are so excited to celebrate that with you all.
