What should I bring for the weekend?
Answer
It’s summer camp! PNW is beautiful in August, expect sunny 80 degree days and cooler evenings. Bring some fun outfits! Bring comfy clothes and good footwear for nature walks. Bring your book, knitting project, or frisbee.

Does Islandwood accommodate food allergies?
Answer
Yes! Make sure to include your allergies in your lodging form and Islandwood will take care of you.

What amenities does Islandwood provide?
Answer
Islandwood provides towels, linens, and a 3-1 shampoo/conditioner/bodywash. They do not provide hairdryers, irons, steamers, make-up wipes, etc.

You’re taking the Seattle to Bainbridge ferry line from the Seattle downtown waterfront!

How do I get from the airport to the ferry terminal?
Answer
You can get to the Seattle Ferry Terminal at the downtown waterfront by public transit, rideshare/taxi or car! If using public transit, take the Lightrail 1 line from Sea-Tac to Pioneer Square and walk 10 minutes to the Seattle Ferry Terminal.

How do I get on the ferry?

You can “walk-on” the ferry as a foot passenger or “drive on” as a vehicle passenger.

How early should I get to the ferry?
Answer
If you’re walking onto the ferry, we recommend getting there 20 minutes before sailing time. If you’re driving onto the ferry, we recommend getting there 45 minutes before sailing time. Or, you can follow the advice we got when we first moved here: “if you don’t plan on making a specific ferry, you won’t miss it.” You can always get to the ferry terminal whenever it works for your schedule and be ready to wait for whichever ferry is next!

How do I get from the ferry to IslandWood?
Answer
We'll have some shuttles (passenger vans driven by friends!) to bring people to IslandWood from the Bainbridge ferry terminal until a certain time in the evening (end time TBD). If you're getting in later than that, there are taxi services on Bainbridge. We'll provide more detailed info on this as we get closer to the date!
