Sara and Bhavin’s story began in 2019 at a friend’s wedding. Sara was a bridesmaid for her friend Jessica, and Bhavin stood as a groomsmen for his friend Franklin. While waiting in line during the ceremony rehearsal, Sara caught Bhavin’s eye walking into the room with “New York energy” typing away on her phone. He struck up a conversation and was captivated by Sara’s spark, vibrant energy, kindness, generosity, and strong sense of self. Sara, in turn, was drawn to Bhavin’s charisma, curiosity, enthusiasm, and incredibly warm, personable nature. They were partnered to walk down the aisle together and even came up with a dance routine for their reception entrance. Bhavin was interested in getting to know Sara more, but she was in a relationship at the time. He told their friend Jessica, “if Sara ever becomes single, let me know.” Fast forward to July 2020, Sara was single. By October, Jessica asked Sara if she would be open to going on a date with Bhavin. “Even if you only hit it off as friends, you’re both great conversationalists and I think you’ll really get along,” she said. Sara happily agreed. Bhavin planned their first date for November 7, 2020, and admittedly, was a little nervous since it was the middle of COVID and they hadn’t seen each other in over a year and a half. He planned an entire day and even sent Sara a full itinerary ahead of time. As a planner herself, when Sara saw the amount of effort he put in, she jokingly told her friends, “Is this my husband?” Turns out, it wasn't such a crazy question. Their first date started with a hike at Palisades Interstate Park, followed by brunch and rooftop drinks in Jersey City. Their date lasted eight hours, filled with conversation about life lessons, family, friends, passions, and countless shared stories. Even after all that time, it still didn’t feel like enough. From that very first date, Sara knew there was something truly special about Bhavin. They quickly discovered how aligned they were in their values — a shared growth mindset, a deep curiosity for life, a love of learning and exploring, a desire to build meaningful relationships, a commitment to staying active, and spending time outdoors. Both Bhavin and Sara would say that COVID accelerated their relationship. They spent nearly every day together, working from home side by side and sharing conversations and endless meals. About a year into dating, Sara received a job offer that would relocate them across the country to California. For most couples only a year into dating, it might have felt like a bold, even risky move. But for them, there was no hesitation. It felt natural — an opportunity to take on a new adventure, build a life together, and fully support one another through the next chapter. So in January 2022, they moved to the Bay Area. And there was no one else they’d rather do that with than each other. Their time in California really allowed them to learn what it takes to truly show up together as a team. A strong team. They learned how to work well together, support each other through life’s ups and downs, build their home, and design a life that feels fulfilling to them. They got engaged in December 2023, moved back to New Jersey from San Francisco in July 2024, and welcomed their first puppy, Luna, that December. Since then, they’ve been loving the adventure (and occasional chaos) of learning what it means to raise a puppy together. And now, they’re excited to celebrate their love with family and friends on their special day. Sara and Bhavin are excited to share this next chapter with you all. Because if there's one thing we know for sure, it’s that their "aisle walk" this time will be with purpose — and it’s a journey they can’t wait to take together.
