Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Each event has a slightly different dress code. It will be included in the description. Overall, we want it to be on the casual side and no one should feel pressured to buy an outfit they will wear once. Feel free to wear attire of any culture. You not have to change between ceremony and reception but some people may choose to. You can wear any color. No need to dress conservatively, wear whatever you feel comfortable in. For reference: Ceremony Bhargavi will be wearing saree Garret will be wearing pancha and jubha Reception Bhargavi will be wearing a lehenga Garret will be wearing a suit

What is the ceremony like?

Answer

The ceremony will be a Telugu wedding with vows. It will last about 2 hours and you are not expected to be seated or quiet the whole time. Feel free to walk around, grab a snack. The priest will announce when an important part is happening so everyone can return to their seats. The priest will be saying prayers in Sanskrit but he will translate important sections. We will have programs with descriptions about the ceremony.
