How we met ==========
I had just finished my 300L first MB exam, I was on a long break and I was back to my family house in Kaduna. I had stayed like 3 weeks at home when we finally got news about the result of our exams. I was super excited, I passed. I said to myself I must share this testimony and sing a song to glorify God during the upcoming vigil. I prepared and decided to sing a Yoruba song I learnt in school. The testimony went well, everyone applauded me as I went back to my seat. Fast forward to the Sunday following the Friday vigil, our Chaplain Revd Otowo kept mentioning my name with every example he wanted to site. I felt so shy but I just had to lock up and maintain my steeze. After close of church, I greeted few friends and was walking to the car park when I heard a voice behind that said “It seems you’re a celebrity here oo” I turned to see who was talking. Then my eyes got the glimpse of this gentle, handsome looking young man who was smiling at me. I then responded “me ?, celebrity how?” He kept teasing me of how he has been noticing everyone coming to greet me and How the pastor couldn’t even get over my name. I waved it off with laugh, he then went ahead to ask about the song I sang during the vigil that he really liked it, “what is the name of the song and who sang?” he asked, I then asked if he was Yoruba and if he understood the meaning of what I sang he said yes. I told him I didn’t know who sang it oo but I will ask. He then pleaded for my contact so I could send it to him once I find it. Since that time till now he has never asked me of any song oo. That’s how we became friends and the rest they say is history.
1. It was a life-changing night at the Nigerian Air Force Base church in Kaduna. As a student pilot, I attended an all-night service where a beautiful young lady testified about God's mercy over her medical college exams. What caught my attention wasn't just her beauty, but the captivating song she sang during her testimony. As a music lover, I was determined to find out more about the song. 2. The following Sunday, I spotted her again at church. This time, everyone was talking about her – the reverend praised her commitment to God's work and her academic achievements. I saw an opportunity to approach her after the service and started with a lighthearted comment, calling her a "celebrity" due to all the attention she received. I then asked for the song's details, and we exchanged contact information, marking the beginning of our friendship. 3. In that moment, I felt a sense of divine purpose, knowing that God had brought us together. Our connection was just the starting point of an incredible journey, and I'm grateful for that chance encounter.
