Every great adventure starts in a tavern, but ours began on July 15, 2024, with a blind date and a legendary three-person party. Joe arrived with his ultimate companion—his son, Jackson—and the chemistry was an instant natural 20. The date was so perfect that Joe passed his persuasion check just one week later on July 22, 2024, when he officially asked Chelsea to be his girlfriend. By February 2025, the duo embarked on a high-seas voyage (a romantic cruise). While their actions constantly showed high stats in love and affection, both Joe and Chelsea had incredibly high saving throws against being the first to say those three big words. They were both far too stubborn to break character! But the moment they returned home on February 6, 2025, Joe decided to end the stalemate. Pulling Chelsea close, he whispered, "You win." A bewildered Chelsea had no idea what he was talking about until he smiled and finally said, "I love you!" With a massive grin, Chelsea kissed him, cast her own counter-spell, and replied, "I love you and yes I win!" Many more side-quests and dates followed as their bonds of trust grew unbreakable. A beautiful small guild was forming right before their eyes, with Jackson right in the thick of the action, proudly (and hilariously) referring to Chelsea as "my woman!" Knowing a proper quest requires the backing of the local lords, Joe braved the ultimate trial at a family gathering. He pulled aside Chelsea’s parents and siblings to ask for their official blessing to marry her. After surviving a gauntlet of loving family jokes, he passed the trial with a resounding "yes" from the entire clan. Fast forward to a family expedition to Myrtle Beach for their one-year anniversary. Unbeknownst to Joe and Chelsea, her family had actually set up a betting pool, absolutely convinced a proposal encounter was triggered for that weekend. But Joe played it cool, throwing everyone off the scent to plan an even greater surprise. With the help of a legendary ally (one of Chelsea's amazing friends), Joe completely caught Chelsea off guard on Sweetest Day—October 18, 2025. In front of a beautiful lake, with Jackson right there watching and fully involved in the surprise, Joe got down on one knee. With a roll of dice, hitting a natural 20. Chelsea accepted with a resounding YES! We can’t wait to celebrate the ultimate level-up with all of you!
