Attire for the Gurudwara can either be traditional clothing (saree, lehenga, punjabi suit) or modest attire. It is required that legs are covered (up to the ankle) as well as the head. If you don't own a head covering there will be ones provided to you before entering the temple.
Detailed schedule of the morning: Tea/coffee/light refreshments provided at 10am, Anand Karaj ceremony at 11am, vegetarian lunch to follow after conclusion of the ceremony starting at 12pm. General information about the Gurudwara: 1) Ceremony will be conducted in both Punjabi and English. 2) Seating is separated by gender—with males on one side and females on the other. Guests will also be asked to sit on the floor for the majority of the ceremony, if you are unable to sit on the floor for long periods there will be additional chairs at the back of the ceremony space if necessary. 3) Offerings are usually given to the priest upon arrival at the Gurudwara, such as small change or small bills. Additionally, after completion of the ceremony, there is usually a blessing given to the bride/groom given in the form of a monetary gift (eg. small bill). Both of these traditions are completely optional. We are sharing this information so no-one is caught off guard.
