COVID-19 and FAQs

Dear Family and Friends, We are so excited to celebrate our special day with you all. For the health and safety of all our guests, we are requiring COVID-19 vaccine + booster to attend. We also kindly request that everyone have a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours of the event with PCR test preferred but a self administered rapid antigen test also acceptable. Please see below for FAQs and thank you in advance for making our celebration safe and possible. Love, Beverly and Galen
Question

Will vaccine cards be checked?

Answer

Yes, a venue attendant will be checking vaccine cards prior to entering the Athenaeum.

Question

Will masks be required?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be held outdoors so masks will not be required in these areas. Masks are encouraged indoors. Please note that masking policy is subject to change based on venue and local regulations.

Question

What type of COVID-19 test should I obtain?

Answer

We are kindly requesting that everyone have a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours of our celebration. We prefer a negative PCR test but a rapid at home antigen test is also acceptable.

Question

I can't find a place that offers a PCR result within 48 hours. Can I do a home Rapid test?

Answer

Yes! A rapid at-home Antigen test will suffice as well. We truly do appreciate everyone's efforts to get tested before our celebration.

Question

I already tested positive for COVID-19 in the past, do I need to retest?

Answer

If you've tested positive for COVID-19 in the past, you do not have to test again for 90 days from symptom onset, if you became ill, or from the date of your positive test, if you remained asymptomatic. If it has been more than 90 days on the day of our celebration, please plan to retest.

Question

Can I attend even though I've only recently completed the COVID-19 vaccine series and it's too soon to get the booster?

Answer

First off, congratulations on getting vaccinated! If it is too soon for you to get a booster, that's fine. If you qualify for a booster though and have not received it yet, please get boosted before the celebration. Please visit the CDC website for COVID-19 booster guidance: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/booster-shot.html?s_cid=11706:cdc%20covid%20booster:sem.ga:p:RG:GM:gen:PTN:FY22

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! Parking will be available on site at The Athenaeum.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by March 14 via our wedding website. The RSVP link is now live!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Please denote any food allergies on your RSVP.

Question

Will there be a wedding hashtag that we can use for social media?

Answer

We're millennials so of course there will be wedding hashtags! Please use #bevsforevergalentine or #shesaidtsetothomas for your social media posts.
