Yes, there will be self-park and valet options at the University Club. In light of Lollapalooza taking place on the same day, we'd recommend Ubering, using the valet option, or booking a parking spot on the SpotHero app in advance.
This celebration is intended for adults and will be a no kids event. We appreciate your understanding.
Your presence is the greatest gift to us! We kindly ask for no boxed gifts, but if you’d like to contribute, there will be a designated box for cards at the wedding as well as an online contribution option on this website.
You can expect music featuring Kurdish, Turkish, and English songs, and everyone is welcome to join in the traditional line dance known as "govend." Most of the dancing will involve a simple "4 steps forward - 4 steps backward" routine. Here is a link to a brief video you can watch if you'd like to get some practice in before the event: https://youtu.be/2LhSzmlUO-o?si=Qk0IDd81U_B3F7Ml
While the beef/chicken served at the wedding is not Zabiha Halal, we are happy to offer fish and vegetarian options for those who require Zabiha Halal food. If you have any specific concerns or allergies, please let us know in advance, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you!
