For guests that are fully vaccinated upon arrival to an event taking place at The Highlands, these guests will not be required to wear a mask for the duration of the event. Per current mandates, guests do not need to show proof of vaccination upon entry – The Highlands will rely upon self-reporting of vaccination status (e.g., honor system). Guests who are not vaccinated should wear a mask when not seated at their assigned table and continue to practice social distancing. Guests are considered fully vaccinated: 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine If you or a guest doesn’t meet these requirements, regardless of your age, you are NOT fully vaccinated. Keep taking all precautions until you are fully vaccinated. Our families have known each other for many years through Building Blocks. And there may even be some pictures floating around of Chris and me dressed up in our Halloween costumes at the ages of 2 and 4. However, I’d like to consider us meeting for the first time as camp counselors at the Building Blocks camp around the summer of 2002. We quickly became good friends and had many inside jokes as we shared the next few summers together. I went off to college, as did Chris, and our lives went in different directions. The summer of 2015, I was helping out Chris’s cousin with alterations on her wedding gown. I was invited to the wedding that October and was reminded by many bystanders that “Chris would be there” and it would be a good chance for us to “catch up.” These bystanders (you know who you are) had other intentions for us, and although knowing this made our initial interaction a bit awkward, Chris managed to catch my eye, make me laugh, and he even snuck a kiss on my cheek in the photo booth. The very next weekend was our first official date.
