FAQs

If you have any questions or concerns that are not answered here, please reach out to Betty or Dylan via text.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please let us know by August 20th! We may be able to accommodate you after, but we want to have enough food for everybody.

Question

Are you registered?

Answer

Nope! We already have plenty of stuff. Your presence at our wedding is truly the only gift we need. We'd much rather our guests save their money for travel, accommodations, and perhaps a souvenir or treat from the Renaissance Festival. Cards are always welcome, but please know that no gifts are expected.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We invite guests to embrace the Renaissance Festival atmosphere by wearing fantasy- or Renaissance-inspired attire, or simply whatever feels comfortable. Please choose practical footwear, as the grounds may be uneven or muddy.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel Garden. Because the Chapel Garden is located inside the Minnesota Renaissance Festival grounds and requires a short walk from the entrance, we recommend arriving around 30 minutes early to allow time to enter the festival and find the ceremony location.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking is shared with other Renaissance Festival guests, so there is not a separate lot for the wedding. Betty and Dylan recommend parking near the Queen's Gate entrance, as they find that walk a bit easier, though both main entrances involve some hills. Guests with a valid disability parking permit may use accessible parking spaces. Guests with mobility concerns may also be dropped off near the front gates. The Renaissance Festival also offers a park-and-ride service that some guests may find helpful.

Question

I have a food restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! We hope to offer a variety of options with our buffet, but we also want everyone to be able to enjoy the celebration comfortably. If you have any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or special dietary needs, please let us know, and we'll do our best to accommodate them.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! Young adventurers are welcome. The Renaissance Festival is full of fun for kids, from performances and games to costumed characters and surprises around every corner. Please let us know by August 20th if your children will be attending so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Absolutely! All adventurers are welcome. If you'd like to bring a guest, please let us know by August 20th so we can be sure there's enough food, drink, and merriment for everyone.

Question

What if I have a disability, mobility concern, or accessibility need?

Answer

We want all of our guests to be able to enjoy the celebration comfortably. The Minnesota Renaissance Festival grounds include uneven terrain, gravel paths, and some hills. Guests with a valid disability parking permit may use accessible parking spaces, and guests may also be dropped off near the front gates. The Renaissance Festival also offers a limited number of motorized scooters for rent. Additional accessibility information is available on the Renaissance Festival website. If mobility or accessibility is a concern, please reach out to us. We would be happy to help coordinate accommodations and, if needed, cover the cost of a scooter rental so that you can join us comfortably. https://renaissancefest.com/accessibility/
