Craig and I grew up playing on the diamond and we both received athletic scholarships to Kansas Wesleyan University. We met through a mutual friend at a back to school party with the baseball and softball team. The day continued with a couple card games when a question came around to Craig where he had to ask someone who was single out on a date. Well…. I happened to be the only single girl in the room and Craig looked over to me and said “Wednesday 6:30PM Longhorn Steakhouse”. As we continued through senior year of college we both had our eyes on graduation and what the next steps of our life’s would look like. After graduation, Craig moved back to Fresno, California and I moved back to Mont Belvieu, TX. Through the summer we were both trying to figure out what our life would look like without baseball and softball. By the end of the summer, I had the opportunity to return to Salina, KS to continue my education in the Master’s program at KWU while being a graduate assistant for the softball team. Fast forward a couple months, we both ended up back in Salina and officially started dating. After a year and a half of living in Salina, before we left Kansas on our next adventure Craig proposed in front of Pioneer Hall which is the main building of where we met at Kansas Wesleyan University. We now reside in Mont Belvieu, TX where we are starting our careers and looking forward to an incredible future together.
