Hang in there friends, this isn't your typical meet-cute! Tyler was actually going on a date with Betsy's college roommate (shout out to Mary!). Her roommate didn't want to go on the date alone so Betsy third-wheeled it as awkwardly as possible. Tyler and Betsy's roommate didn't continue to date, but somewhat kept in touch. About 2 years later Betsy was sick of all the hyper mega bummer boys she was meeting. Her roommate one day said "I know someone that I think you would really like and would treat you right" and that person was Tyler. Just starting college and his new full time job, Tyler wasn't exactly interested in dating/talking to someone. At first, he was going to pass on the suggestion. Then after a little more encouragement from Betsy's roommate, he reached out to her. Turns out, Betsy and Tyler really did like each other. Like grew to love and here we are, 12 years later, finally tying the knot!
