Betsy and Toby met online originally in February of 2022. Toby asked Betsy to breakfast at a local spot in Prairieville and really enjoyed meeting each other. Unfortunately, it was not the right time for either Betsy or Toby. Toby found Betsy in October of 2023 and asked to catch up and reconnect. Betsy was so happy to hear from Toby as he had crossed her mind several times after they first met. Betsy and Toby went to breakfast again and found they both really enjoyed spending time with each other. From then until now, Betsy and Toby still find immense joy in spending time together and building a beautiful future together.

Toby and Betsy spent Thanksgiving with her family in Macon, GA at her brother’s and sister in-law’s. Betsy’s family always enjoys playing a competitive game of Mexican Train. During a break, Betsy asked Toby if he wanted a piece of dessert. As Betsy put the dessert on a napkin and turned away, Toby held out his hand and said “Trade you”. When he opened his hand, there was a ring. With a completely shocked look on Betsy’s face, Toby got down on one knee in front of her and her family and asked Betsy to marry him. Betsy, crying tears of joy, said yes!
