This is the place that started our lives together and we can't wait for you all to finally see it! The ceremony and rehearsal dinner will be held here. There are so many fun things to do at our Lodge like hiking, horseback riding, ziplining, fishing and more. The cabins are cozy and warm with fireplaces and lots of gorgeous Northwoods decor. The staff at the front desk can help you plan every detail of your stay and if you call us wed-sun Betsy might be there to book your cabin! Please be sure to let the front desk staff know that you're coming for our wedding as we have cabins held for the occasion!

Our reception will be held here at our favorite date night spot. The Poplar Haus has cabins for rent on the same property as their amazing restaurant/bar. The cabins are gorgeous and Poplar Lake is one of my favorite to paddle in my kayak. The whole property will be ours for the reception (and bonfire after?) so we'd love to have you here if you are up for a late night celebration! When you call to book please let them know you are coming for our wedding since we have all the cabins held!

Basic Info
1. We are 45 miles from the nearest town (Grand Marais) 2. There is no cellphone service outside of town but there's only one road to get to us so just stay on it until you see the signs for either Poplar Haus or Gunflint Lodge. 3. There may not be internet in the cabins you are staying in. The main lodges have internet but the cabins may not. Bring a book or some DVDs if you want! 4. It takes about 3 1/2 hours to drive from Duluth, MN to the Gunflint Lodge and about 6 hours from Minneapolis. The last gas station before your 43 mile drive into the woods is in Grand Marais, MN. Fuel up!
Flight
Duluth MN
This is the closest airport to us but will normally require a connecting flight to arrive here. It is 3 1/2 hours from Gunflint Lodge so we recommend timing your arrival in order to drive up before dark. Not only would you miss the breathtaking scenery and chance to see wildlife, but would also be driving a winding country highway with very few streetlamps or spots with cellphone service. You can also fly into the Minneapolis airport normally with a direct flight. This airport is about 6 hours from the Gunflint Lodge
