Our story began, before we even knew it began. Our sisters, Jill and Mackenzie, became friends and soon enough both realized that their younger siblings could potentially be a match. What a lot of people might not know is that in 2016, Tyler and I actually met and went on our first date while I was home visiting from Colorado. We both would agree that we had a great time that weekend, but it just wasn't the right time for either of us to start a long distance relationship. A couple years and a few relationships later, our sisters still would not give up on the idea of us being together. As Tyler tells it, Jill called Mackenzie and Mackenzie called him "Literally the day after" my last relationship ended :), encouraging him to jump on it. Tyler was nice enough to give me some time, but knowing that I would be home for Christmas to visit family, asked if I would like to hang out. I was skeptical at first, but eventually was convinced to go and try to have a good time. My version of the story compared to Tyler's after this point is definitely different, but the short version is, that months went by with a few text exchanges here and there (and a lot of persistence and pursuing by Tyler :) ), which eventually turned into multiple texts a day, to phone calls, to Facetime's, and finally a first visit to Colorado by Tyler to see me. And the rest is history. We dated long distance for just over a year, and on August 15th Tyler pulled off the surprise of a lifetime by proposing in Colorado while I was on a hike with my girlfriends, surrounded by some of my closest friends and family. It was literally the BEST day. (Check it out---> https://youtu.be/8urzj5fKdeE ) So here we are, I moved back to Michigan in September and we are getting hitched. And we couldn't be more excited to share in our journey with you on July 25th. We are honored to have you all there, whether in spirit or reality. Thank you for being a part of our lives! Let's do this! #BetsTysTheKnot
