Are children allowed at the ceremony, or reception?

While we adore your children, we kindly ask that they not attend the ceremony or reception, except for immediate family. The hotel offers babysitting services for a fee; if you need this, please reach out to us directly, and we'll assist in arranging it.

Where should I stay?

We recognize that many of our guests will be traveling from out of town for our special day, so we’ve arranged discounted room blocks at the Hyatt Ziva for your convenience! For details on accommodations, including booking codes and special rates, please visit the "Travel" page on our website. A minimum stay of 3 nights is required to receive the discounted rate, but you’re welcome to extend your stay before or after the wedding at the same rate.

What if I cannot stay at the Hyatt Ziva hotel?

The wedding will take place at the Hyatt Ziva hotel, and attendance requires staying at the resort. It’s an all-inclusive, family-friendly destination. If you wish to attend but cannot stay at this resort, there may be a few special arrangements we can consider. Please contact us directly to discuss possible options.

Can I make a room reservation under my Hyatt membership?

Yes, you can use your Hyatt membership and/or points to book the room. However, please note that this cannot be combined with the room block rate. When booking, be sure to mention that you will be attending the Bethoney/Daniels wedding!

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held on the beach, so please dress in beach wedding attire. The reception will take place outdoors on a rooftop terrace, so bring shoes for that event. Feel free to go barefoot on the beach if you prefer!

Is the resort all-inclusive?

Answer

Absolutely! Enjoy unlimited food, drinks, and activities all included in your room rate. The property features 8 restaurants, 3 lounges, and 6 bars offering top-shelf alcohol. You'll also have access to 24-hour room service and a stocked mini-bar in every room, all at no extra charge. There are kids’ and teen clubs, non-motorized water sports, aqua cycling, aqua aerobics, and water volleyball. Additionally, you’ll find a gym and 3 infinity pools. For an extra fee, you can also indulge in the onsite spa.

When I book my room, when do I pay?

Answer

The hotel will secure your room under the room block using the credit card you provide. Your card will not be charged for the room until 30 days prior to your arrival.

What if I need to cancel last minute?

Answer

We completely understand that emergencies and last-minute cancellations can occur. If this happens, please inform us as soon as possible. Fortunately, the hotel offers flexibility, and you will receive a full refund if you cancel up to 14 days before arrival. However, if you cancel less than 14 days before your arrival, the hotel will apply a fee to your booking.

Do I need to bring Mexican Pesos, or can I use US currency?

Answer

It depends on your plans! If you're staying at the resort, you generally won’t need to convert any money. However, if you plan to shop or explore off-site in Cancun, it’s a good idea to bring some pesos or US cash. Check with your bank to see if you can order pesos before you leave. Alternatively, you can exchange money at the airport or use ATMs in Cancun, but be mindful of potential fees from both your bank and the ATM.
