They met at a historic event in July 2018. It was the very first Amharic convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the United States. On family night, among the hustle and bustle of everyone waiting for the show to begin, a friend of Ermias, introduced them. He laid eyes on her and the rest was history. No, we’ll have to give you a little more. After meeting that night, Ermias went back to Winnipeg and they talked over the phone for a few months. He was taken by her warm smile, killer eyes, and caring spirit. Can you blame him? In speaking to her sisters, Bethlhem often said that Ermias’ heart is what won her over. After talking for a few months, Ermias traveled to the US for their very first in-person date! It was one for the books and their relationship continued to blossom after he returned to Canada. A few months later, he met the family and they loved him. Not long after that, Ermias got down on one knee and asked Bethlhem to spend the rest of forever with him. She said yes! They are both so excited to share their special day with you so put on your best attire and dust off your dancing shoes because June 28th is right around the corner!
