We are having an Alice in Wonderland themed wedding! If you want to dress up in Wonderland attire you may.
Yes, we are fully aware that the day we chose to celebrate our love is indeed a Sunday. No worries, the festivities are in the afternoon, so you can still go to church. We chose this date for two reasons. 1. Vince proposed on September 24th, so that day of the month is pretty special. 2. Neither of us are big night owls and we figured a Sunday wedding reflects that! Hey, at least it's not a Monday!
The ceremony is to be held in the woods behind the bride's parents house. E3148 Tunteri Road, Chatham, MI 49816. Parking will be near the house in a field and all guests will be escorted back to the ceremony site. The ceremony is outside and we will have a few umbrellas supplied if it rains, but consider bringing your own just in case!
The reception will be in the yard of the bride's parents' house. The same address as for the ceremony.
Yes. Immediately following the ceremony there will be drinks and appetizers for our guests to munch on. There will also be yard games for entertainment. We ask that you enjoy this time while the bridal party and immediate family members of the bride and the groom will be having some photos taken.
Heck yeah! We love kids. If you are hesitant to bring your kiddos know that we will have a babysitter, or two, to keep an eye on the kids while you party the night away. Young children can also be put to bed inside the bride's parents' house if you would like to party late into the night without worrying about your toddler throwing a tantrum. If you would like to use these services please contact bridesmaid Sally Osentoski, at sosentoski@gmail.com, so that we can provide an appropriate number of babysitters.
WELL...... We kindly ask that you refrain from using your cell phone and any other devices (Ipads, Cameras, etc.) during the ceremony. We have paid our lovely photographer big bucks to capture these special moments and frankly we do not want your cell phones to be captured in our ceremony photos. You don't need to take a picture of the bride walking down the aisle because I promise your smartphone will not be better quality than our paid photographer. We may even have an attendant scouring the ceremony before it starts to remind you to put your phones away and be present with us. That being said... we encourage photos throughout the rest of the evening (after the ceremony)! If you plan on posting your photos to social media please tag us, #BV2018, so we can see the good times you had on our big day!!
YES! Kinda. In lieu of a typical guestbook, we would like our guests to sign a wooden bench. Afterwards we will have the bench sealed and be placed in our future home! This way we will be able to look back on who shared in our special celebration, in a unique way, for years to come.
