How does a man from England living in Canada fall in love with a woman from New York living in Kansas? We’ll tell you...we met at a single adult church conference in 2015 in Palmyra, NY. Bethany was living in Syracuse and Theo and his sisters and friends drove down for an exciting roadtrip. There was a bonfire the first night and we struck up a conversation. We ended up spening the whole weekend together. Neither of us had much hope in long distance relationships, so we decided to be pen pals. Over the years we remained friends. In 2019 we began talking more frequently and then we decided to visit one another. We really enjoyed the adventures we were having together and decided that was something we wanted forever!

Bethany grew up in upstate New York and after she graduated she attended Brigham Young University-Idaho where she earned a Bachelor’s in Sociology. She served a mission for her church in Los Angeles California from 2006-2008. She is currently finishing a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family therapy and hopes to be working as a therapist in September. Theo grew up in England and he his family moved to Canada in 2007. He returned to England to serve a mission for his church in Leeds. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and is currently working towards a Master’s in Applied Science. We are proud owners of a 5 year old pit-lab named Leila. We enjoy kayaking, camping, taking walks in nature, doing puzzles, cooking together, and going to the theatre. We plan to live in Topeka, Kansas for the time being and then see where life takes us.
