As cliché as it sounds we met online. Tinder to be exact. I (Bethany) was close to deleting Tinder for the hundredth time but decided to swipe once again. When I saw Sam I thought “Hmm he’s cute, but I don’t know if he’d like me” but still, I decided to swipe right anyway. Lo and behold we were a match! We both had no initial expectations being on there, just trying to find a friend but from the beginning our connection was strong. We decided to meet up one day to see a movie and from there it was history!
On one of our first few dates we walked around MSU campus. We decided to take a break and talk at the Beaumont tower where at the same time, there was a group touring. We overheard the speaker say “If you kiss when the bell goes off, you’ll be together forever”. Sam looked at me and I looked at him and said “I’m not kissing you” since it was only our third date. Fast forward 3 years later and its two days before my birthday. Me and two friends from high school were going to have a tea party to celebrate my birthday and decided to do it on MSU campus. After the tea party we decided to have a small photo shoot with the help of one of my friends cousin. As we made our way to the Belmont tower, I started to tell them about when Sam and I were first here (first paragraph). As I began to talk I noticed my parents sitting on the side watching me while recording which caught me off guard since I just FaceTimed them hours ago. I see some other friends next to my parents and to the right I see Sam turn around walking toward me. He comes up to me, tells me how much he loves me(along with other things) then boom, we were ENGAGED!!!!
