Mat and Beth met through their mothers, Cathy and Melissa, who are childhood best friends. Mat and Beth spent some time as children together, and they had their first date in 2014. They had a few dates afterwards, and genuinely liked each other, but decided a long-distance relationship wasn't right for them at that time. Over the years that followed, they kept in touch and remained friends. FINALLY, in April of 2022, they met up for a lunch date and all of the pieces fell into place. They came out as an official couple in May of 2022, and have been going strong ever since. They got engaged on Friday, September 8, 2023, and they cannot wait to share their special day with their loved ones!
