We first met in an acting class that I (Beth) ended up dropping soon after. Not long later, we ran into each other at the BCM on campus—and somehow kept crossing paths all evening. At one point, I went to grab my Wingstop leftovers from the fridge and, of course, ran into him again. Naturally, I couldn’t help but brag endlessly about how good their wings were. To prove my point, I literally held them up to his face so he could appreciate just how amazing the barbecue smelled. Later, he messaged me on Instagram and asked if I’d like to go out sometime—he said he wanted to get to know me better. We went to Zaxby’s for our first date, and from that moment on, we never really stopped spending time together. Two years later, when he got down on one knee, he said, “I knew I loved you the moment you put those wings in my face.”
