Larry and I met, as millennials do, on Bumble. I had some friends who thought it was high time for me to start dating again, so they graciously created me an account. Larry and I were immediately drawn to one another, and lucky for us, we both swiped right. Immediately after swiping, I received a message from Larry asking some questions about myself, so I nervously answered and waited for his response and once I did, I remember thinking WOW he must really be into politics and by this lengthy message he’s going to also start writing me poetry, and I’m not ready for this…. So I decided to tell him I’d like to add him on my social media account because I was deleting the whole dating app, because I wasn’t ready to date yet. Weeks and weeks passed by and during that time Larry’s instagram would pop up and every time it did, I’d think to myself what an amazing father he truly seems to be. Then one weekend Larry tried reaching out to me further, and when I finally replied, I said, “Are you ever going to ask me on a date?” Let’s just say we went on that initial date, and we’re inseparable after that. Seven months later, we got engaged. It was almost my birthday, so Larry and my oldest daughter Adelynn planned a surprise that I’ll never forget. After dinner that night, Larry wanted to stop at the same cookie shop he took me to after our first date, and while walking there Larry got down on one knee right at the spot where we had our first kiss, and he asked me to be his wife. I said yes, of course, and now I can’t wait to marry my best friend!
