Bethany works in Marketing for a Senior Living company. She was asked by a co-worker to work a table at a golf tournament that was being hosted at a 55+ community. It just so happened that Justin's company would be catering that same golf tournament, and he and his co-workers would be the last carts of the entire day to ride by Bethany's table. Justin actually wasn't supposed to play that day but got asked to join at the last minute (he was literally in his car in the parking lot about to pull out when they called him). There was a dinner at the clubhouse after the tournament that Bethany swore she would be at, but she did not end up going. Justin went up to Bethany's co-worker and asked where she was. She told him that Bethany had gone home but made sure that Justin had Bethany's number. The rest is history.

Justin and Bethany had many conversations about getting engaged prior to Henry turning one. As his birthday approached, Justin came up with every excuse of why they should wait until the spring to get engaged. Henry's birthday passed and there was still no ring. Little did she know that he had something planned right around the corner. Bethany was helping Henry open his presents. She thought they were done, but magically one other gift showed up. Bethany opened the bag and it was a sign that said "Will You Marry My Dad?" with the most stunning ring below it. Naturally, Bethany's sister who is a photographer was "taking pictures of the party" so she was conveniently there to capture this special moment. It was the best surprise ever!
