We're Getting married!

Davey and Bethany met at Baptist Collegiate Ministries our freshman year. They became good friends their sophomore year when Davey decided to interrupt Bethany's team meeting with a lampshade on his head. They became best friends went on their first date to a Braves game and Davey asked Bethany to be his girlfriend on the bridge across I-75. The rest is history!

Davey has been doing an internship in Valdosta with the Baptist Collegiate Ministries. He drove up to Dahlonega on the second weekend of January just to hang out with Bethany. Little did she know, he stopped by Shane Company to pick out her ring. The next weekend, Davey drove up to talk with Bethany's parents. Bethany had no idea he was there because Davey had told her he was cleaning his apartment all day. Then, finally, on January 30th, 2021, Davey told Bethany to get dressed up because he was going to pick her up to go to dinner. She got dressed and they left the house early. He drove them to the reservoir in Dahlonega where all of their "firsts" happened. They walked out on the bridge as Davey began to talk about their future. He then got down on one knee and asked Bethany to marry him. She immediately began crying, but said yes! And then the planning began!
