South Congress
South Congress is quintessential Austin vibes with boutiques, shops, and restaurants. We recommend going to Jo’s Coffee or JoAnn’s Fine Foods and shopping at Tecovas.
Lady Bird Lake Trail
Lady Bird Lake Trail is a 10 mile trail loop that goes around Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin. We recommend starting at Bangers for a beer and a bratwurst on Rainey Street and walking the trail into the city.
The White Horse
For country dancing, our favorite is White Horse — the vibes are very Austin and there is always an amazing live band that sings country while you two-step.
Lamberts
Our absolute favorite BBQ in Austin. We both love the Queso with burnt ends.
La Volta Pizza Club
Our absolute favorite pizza place. Brandon’s favorite is the Classic with pepperoni and Bethany’s is the Vodka pizza.
Velvet Taco
Might be a hot take in a city known for its tacos but Velvet Taco is our absolute favorite tacos in Austin. Brandon’s favorite taco is the Quesa Birria pork and Bethany’s is the Chimichurri steak. This one is at The Domain — an outdoor mall with great shopping and fun vibes.
B.D. Riley's Irish Pub
If you are looking to go out, there is always 6th Street! Going out on East at Whisler’s is also fun. However, our favorite bar is in our old neighborhood, Mueller.
