Bethany and AJ went to high school together and knew many of the same people, but they actually have Hinge to thank for their first date! They planned on going to an early dinner at Holmes in Downtown Alpharetta and would see how the night went. Several hours later, they had done what seemed like a marathon around DT Alpharetta and the Avalon - one of their favorite places to visit to this date. After talking for hours about all of their mutual connections, AJ and Bethany felt comfortable with each other almost immediately. Bethany knew immediately that AJ was something special and she wasn't going to let him go easily. AJ, on the other hand, took some convincing! Later on, AJ admitted that he knew Bethany was endgame and the woman he wanted to marry almost immediately but was terrified by that thought. So, after a few months apart, they made their way back to each other and there was no stopping them - they were full steam ahead! Within a few months, AJ and Bethany signed a lease and moved in together! No one even batted an eye when they told them (even if it was quick) because everyone knew they were gonna get married! AJ told Bethany multiple times that it's cute that she thinks he would wait a year to propose... so he waited eleven and a half months - close enough! AJ convinced Bethany that they were going out with friends in DT Alpharetta and they would just grab a drink while waiting for their friends to get there. Once Bethany's best friend Danielle got there, he suggested they all go somewhere else. As they were walking toward the next destination, they had to pass the restaurant that used to be Holmes (their first stop on their marathon first date). AJ stopped walking and pulled Bethany around and caught her completely off guard! He got down on one knee and the rest is history! Her parents and best friend were there and her hair, lashes, and nails were done (if you know, you know). She had lots of stipulations and he was able to pull off the best proposal Bethany could have ever imagined! Bethany and AJ are so excited to plan this next part of their story and can't wait for everyone to celebrate with them! Their story is only beginning - here's to the future Noegel's!
