How it all began

6 years ago Aaron and Bethany first met at a picnic through mutual friends at a small shelter at Paris Mountain State Park. Truth be told Bethany did NOT want to be there but Aaron was immediately struck by the grumpy girl. They didn't see each other again for about a year until Bethany's family began attending Grace Reformed Baptist Church where Aaron's dad pastors. Again, Bethany honestly didn't want to be there but God began working in her heart and, through the faithful exposition of God's word, she began to grow at GRBC. The Gardners and the Francos spent a copious amount of time together whether at the soccer field, Bellacino's or at church events and Bethany and Aaron struck up a friendship after discovering a mutual interest in history. On October 18, 2015, after knowing each other for about a year, Aaron asked Bethany if she would consider pursuing a relationship with the purpose of seeing if God would have them to enter into a courtship. They spoke with their parents and after receiving their blessing, and prayer and consideration, Aaron and Bethany became "a thing" and after three months of getting to know each other better Aaron asked Bethany to date him with the view of marriage - she practically screamed "yes!" They've been through a lot in the space of four years. They got to go to college together for a year and half, take lots of hikes together, spend lots of quality time with siblings, and travel around the East coast. There have been lots of laughs, innumerable smiles, some tears and a few arguments but the entire time they have seen God's hand working in them, molding them and drawing them closer together. On December 23, 2019 Aaron took Bethany to get their pictures taken as part of her Christmas present. It was a cold and rainy day but it could not have possibly been more perfect. He took her to the little picnic shelter on Paris Mountain where they had first met and on one knee asked her to be his wife. Obviously, she gave a HUGE "yes!"
