Maid of Honor
Amy is Bethany's built-in best friend, aka her younger sister (by about 2 years). A talented visual artist, Amy attended the High School for Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA) with Bethany before matriculating to the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied architecture (and won pretty much every award they offer there, it seems to Bethany). She is also a talented pianist and vocalist and uses those skills to help lead worship at church. Amy recently moved to Cambridge, MA to begin her first job at Maryann Thompson Architects.
Best Man
Aaron is my oldest brother, so as you can imagine, I’ve known him my entire life. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of watching him grow—overcoming challenges, learning from experiences, and ultimately becoming the incredible man he is today. From childhood to now, he’s always been by my side, whether it was finding cool snakes in the woods of Virginia, joining me on the golf course, or providing expert advice on fine leather goods. Outside of being Aaron’s brother, I work as an Auditor at KPMG and earned my Master’s in Accounting from the University at Buffalo. I also serve as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserves. It’s an honor to stand beside Aaron on one of the most important days of his life, and I couldn’t be more proud to call him my brother.

Alex and Bethany met in middle school, where they were both heavily involved in the band/jazz programs. They then attended HSPVA together, where they continued to develop their musicianship. Though Alex was primarily a flutist when she got to PVA, by the end of high school, jazz voice became her focus. Alex went on to study jazz voice (while continuing to play the flute) at the University of Miami and the Berklee School of Music. She currently lives in New York City, where she freelances and is a Carnegie Hall Teaching Artist, in addition to being an Assistant Professor at Berklee. Bethany is thankful that her middle school self didn't scare Alex off (lol) and is proud to call her one of her oldest and dearest friends! She also hopes that you get a chance to hear Alex's laugh (and if you do, dares you not to laugh as well).
Groomsman
My oldest brother Aaron has exemplified integrity and a work ethic most would envy my entire life. As his youngest brother that example has helped to shape me into the man I am today. I am a lead carpenter for Hammer Brothers Construction, and I am a combat engineer in the Army Reserve. Aaron is about to undertake one of life’s most incredible journeys, and I could not be more proud to stand by him as it begins.

Lizbeth and Bethany met at Indiana University, where they both studied trumpet performance in the studio of Prof. John Rommel. They immediately became "bethsties"! They studied for many a music history test together, stressed out about trumpet together, and encouraged each other in everything. Liz went on to get her masters in trumpet at Yale University, where she met her husband, Anthony, who is also a trumpet player. She currently resides in the Atlanta area, where she is an active freelancer and teacher. Those that know Lizbeth know that while she's small in stature she's large in personality (with a contagious laugh that can be heard anywhere)!

Aaron is my oldest cousin. But to me he is more like an older brother. Whether we're out on the golf course or just hitting balls at our cottage, I can always count on him for a great time. I'm currently a full-time Accounting student at St. Bonaventure University. When I'm not studying, I love playing guitar, listening to music, exercising, and spending time with friends and family. Most importantly, I couldn't be more excited to stand by Aaron's side and watch him experience one of life's most beautiful moments.

Elizabeth and Bethany met through a mutual (non-music) friend at Indiana University and then lived together for three years (and got up to lots of shenanigans) while completing their undergraduate degrees. They then both moved to the Chicago area for grad school! Elizabeth completed a Physicians Assistant masters program at Midwestern University and works as a P.A. at a family medicine practice in Oak Park. Elizabeth is also engaged and will marry her fiancé, Isaac, in October! Elizabeth is always up for an adventure, whether that's going hiking across state lines or spontaneously making homemade beer cheese at midnight! Living with Elizabeth (or Aliz as Bethany calls her) were truly some of the best years of Bethany's life, and she's so glad that they've remained in close proximity to each other, which has been a real gift from God!

I met Aaron back in 2003, our first summer in our new cottage, down the road from his grandparents’ on Honeoye Lake. That very first summer, our separate cottages would become one, and us kids, inseparable for life. I live in Rochester, NY with my girlfriend, and work in construction and excavation.

Aaron first met Fiona when they both attended the New York State Summer School of the Arts while he was in high school. Years later, Bethany met Fiona through the trumpet studio at Northwestern University, where Fiona was earning her undergraduate degrees while Bethany and Aaron pursued their masters degrees. Fi majored in both music and business (if you know Fiona, you know that she has many different interests!). Fiona and Bethany also lived together for a year, which was a year replete with deep conversations, Wii games, and event hosting (plus board games, which Fiona graciously tolerated).

I met Aaron one summer about 20 years ago at our families’ cottages. It’s a funny story really but to keep it short; boy rides bike, bike meets pothole, one ruined shirt later (Sorry Nora) and the rest as they say is history. Since that fateful day we’ve spent our summers down at the lake doing a whole lot of fishing, and a lot less biking. These days I’m living and working in Rochester. When it’s not a frozen landscape resembling Hoth, I like to spend my time outside: golfing, fishing, camping and looking forward to summers down at the lake.

Aaron is my older brother, but he's always felt more like a second father to me. This comes with being 10 years apart, but it also stems from Aaron defending me from my other brothers and giving advice about school troubles. Growing up, we bonded over MarioKart and our love of music. Fond nicknames were also given, including but not limited to: Belly Button Lint, Blubber, Blister, Decaying Whale Carcass, and last but not least, La Tortuga Grande (if you know, you know). Living with Aaron has taught me many things: how to trash talk while playing pool, how to play ping pong, how to kick butt at MarioKart, and most importantly, how to love others, but also bring them down when they need it. I'm in my seventh year of the Baldwinsville Varsity Colorguard and Marching band. I enjoy painting, singing in my free time, and watching classic movies. I am a rising junior at Baker High School in Baldwinsville, NY and want to continue schooling at Geneseo to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. I'm excited to see my big brother enter this big new chapter of his life and give as much advice as a 16 year old can!

I met Aaron in the fall of 2021 when he started his master’s degree at Northwestern as I was finishing mine up, which was the same time that he met Bethany. We became friends quickly and bonded over a shared interest in whiskey, music, faith, and deep meaningful conversation. I reside in Madison, WI with my wife, Holly and our beagle, Isla. I currently serve as second trumpet with the Madison Symphony Orchestra and am pursuing a doctorate at the University of Wisconsin - Madison in trumpet Performance and am a teaching assistant. For my doctoral research project, I am professionally recording many of Aaron’s current compositions for solo trumpet and some of his brass chamber music works.
Officiant
Jordan was the Student Ministry Director at Bellaire UMC (the church in Houston that Bethany grew up in) and a very influential figure/role model in her life. Jordan is married to Rebecca and they have a son, Anderson, who will be a year and two months old come August. The Paynes are also neighbors to the Vaughans, living only a few blocks away, and the families (mainly Alan except when the girls are home) enjoy getting together for game nights. While serving as the youth director, Jordan went to seminary at Southern Methodist University's Perkins School of Theology and earned his M. Div. He's now serving as the Associate Pastor at BUMC!
