A few months after meeting through mutual friends, our first date consisted of picking apples at an apple orchard, wandering through corn mazes, and lounging at a romantic candlelit dinner for two. We actually still have the wine glasses we drank water out of during dinner and hope to drink from them again at our reception in remembrance of our first dinner together. - M & B
Mason set up a beautiful candlelit path through the woods to a cliff overlooking a lake where the sun was setting directly over the water. When I arrived, I was shocked to see the path lined with some of our favorite pictures and I couldn't help but shed a tear when I saw our friends gathered at the edge of the woods with Mason waiting for me down by the cliff. I don't even remember what Mason said to me as he knelt down, but I do remember he got choked up, making me cry even harder! I couldn't have imagined a more memorable day and I will treasure it forever. - B
Last year I was accepted into a two-year pastoral residency program at 12 Stone Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia which I accepted as part of the masters degree I am completing through Indiana Wesleyan University. During our two years in Georgia, Bethany plans to pursue her career in teaching high school math and chemistry while developing some additional skills and hobbies along the way. We are very excited to see the plans that God has for us unfold in the coming years! - M
