Daniel and I have actually known each other for quite sometime, however, at the beginning he was just Gabby’s older brother and one of those guys you just tried to impress at the softball fields because he was older. Time goes by, it’s about a month before the 2018 Rockdale Fair and Rodeo. My friends, Faith & Morgan invited me out to Apache Pass to have dinner. That night is where I met Heath, Shawn, & Andrue. No Daniel. We all spent the next few weekends at Apache. Fair weekend rolls around & we are sitting at the rodeo, & now Daniel is here. As we watch the rodeo, Daniel says he needs a beer & asked if we’d go with him. Skip forward a couple of months and a lot of talks later to December 3rd and he asked me to be his girlfriend. In the next few months, we attended Christmases, a wedding, birthdays, etc. Now, let me tell y’all, if I didn’t love this man I would’ve left him in March. The day before my 21st birthday, Daniel sideswiped my car, don’t get me wrong I was pissed, but, Daniel got out of his truck, walked to my car, and proceeded to try to rub the dent out! A year later, we are in Nashville. We hit most of the bars, did tours, and went to the zoo! New Years’ Eve rolled around and we are all getting ready to go out. But, Jason mentions going to the Pedestrian Bridge. (I come to find out later Jason really didn’t want to walk all the way to the bridge). However, as we are walking up, taking pictures, and enjoying the views I got a sense something was up. We continue to take pictures with downtown in the background and it couldn’t be more perfect until Daniel got down on one knee. While Daniel is asking me to marry him, he starts to tear up and that makes me start to do the same and, of course, I said YES! The tears quickly came to an end when he said “Are you sure?” and I couldn’t help but laugh! We laughed and continued to celebrate the rest of the night into the new year and the start of the new chapter for us.
