How We Met

In August of 2018, during my sophomore year and Trey's senior year at Clemson, my roommate - and now my bridesmaid, Chasity - and I were hosting a birthday party for Chasity. We were having ourselves a time with all of our friends at Clemson, when two random guys who lived in the same neighborhood as us walked (& who we’d later find out were Trey’s brother and friend) up and asked if they could join. We said of course! Naturally, Troy and Noah saw that we were cool and returned the favor by inviting us to their house down the road when they'd have people over. Assuming, by this point, that they were good guys and not serial killers, I attended a few of the shindigs they threw over the next few months. Hence, how I met their roommate, Trey. Unfortunately, though, we never really got to talking back then. Time went by and I ended up moving from that neighborhood before starting my junior year. Fast forward to the beginning of 2020 - I worked at a coffee shop in Clemson where, around this time, I noticed Trey frequently visited. Of course I remembered him, but unsure of whether he remembered me, I didn't say anything (except for telling my coworker I thought he was cute). But luckily for me, we connected at the end of January and I quickly realized that Trey was my other half. We began spending almost every day together until March. Once COVID hit, we really spent everyday together. I don’t know if Trey realized at the time how big of a crush I had on him, but he really should have considering I chose to quarantine with him and his 4 roommates (3 really, but Mikey, another groomsman, had claimed the living room couch as his humble abode) in a house that was the definition of a bachelor pad. But it didn’t take long for him to put 2 and 2 together. Thanks to long days filled with any activity we could think of to keep us sane during quarantine (usually involving the great outdoors or drinking games), it didn’t take long for us to fall in love.

For all the days along the way
