Steve and Beth had a rough start. Steve had to postpone the date because of work, and Beth got a call with some bad news and spent the entire date trying not to cry. The combination led to the world's most awkward first date (probably ever). But for some reason that didn't stop them, and they tried again, but this time at an arcade bar. After that, the connection continued to grow and they became inseparable!

Two years after Steve planned their first date, he planned a weekend away with friend's to celebrate Beth's birthday. The weekend was all set with a house rented in the winery area of Geneva and a shuttle to bus all of the friends from winery to winery. The first winery was chosen because it's Beth and Steve's favorite and is a great backdrop for pictures. Beth had suspected he might propose that weekend but when she didn't see a ring box that morning, realized she was wrong and was determined to just enjoy the weekend as planned. After a few bitter comments about how it would have been the perfect weekend to propose were made by Beth, she pushed to take pictures by the vineyard before heading to the next winery. Steve insisted they couldn't because our close friend (and now Koumbara) Tiffany wasn't back to the table yet. Beth in her ever insistent ways, said they could take pictures while waiting for Tiffany to come back. Then when Tiffany joined, she secretly handed the ring she was hiding (and lying to Beth about) to Steve. Steve immediately walked across the vineyard surprising Beth (and everyone else who thought he'd wait another few minutes) and proposed. Thankfully everyone was able to quickly get their phones ready and get pictures of videos of the proposal and the moment that Beth said yes!
