After texting and talking on the phone, Sherman suggested we meet on Saturday night, at Hart's Landing during a free music event they have there every week. Sherman thought it was a great home field advantage to meet at Hart's since that's where his family business is located. With live music and a fun safe public place to meet, Beth was sure it would be a good time. A local popular band, A Kettle of Fish, was playing that night and there was a great crowd, as usual. Sherman put together a picnic of Italian cheeses, crackers and meats, which he hoped Beth would really like since they talked about her being Italian in their conversations. We both felt like there was something special between us. After a series of great dates from dinners to sunset boat cruises, to walks on the beach, we both felt our relationship growing. In July of 2023, we went on our first cruise! It was beautiful, relaxing, fun and we both enjoyed the week together. We laughed, we talked, we learned more and more about each other like the love of our families, our great sense of adventure, even the love of our dogs. We both feel grateful that we found each other at this chapter of our lives, and we talk about that often. Over the coming months, we met each other's families and they could see something special between us as well. Then, during the week of Thanksgiving 2023, Sherman proposed and Beth accepted.......and the rest is history!!!!
